A Tale of Life
Vilnius
2020
In Vilnius Žvėrynas Gymnasium, an architectural installation "The Tale of Life" is being installed in the main vestibule space.
The artwork aims to invite conversation and evoke the structure of the Baltic world reflected in the unity of earth and sky. The "fusion" of cubic interior spaces into a multi-layered spatial experience invites contemplation of the unity, indivisibility, and preservation of all forms of life, ensuring the balance and harmony of the world.
The motif of the transition of the world tree to the sky and the sun is created based on a spiral, which is composed of animals: starting from the bottom with snakes, lizards, ascending to foxes, wolves, rabbits, and deer, further up - squirrels and highest - birds.
The universality of form and content revealed in the space is perfectly suited for teaching lessons in art and music, history and ethnology, as well as psychology and philosophy.
