The Great Kemeri Bog Visitor Center ...I once had the opportunity to visit the Kemeri Bog... afterwards, I thought to myself that it's the world's drop, tear, bud, arche, nest... it's the origin! Through contemporary landmark architecture, harmonized with nature, the aim is to create a visitor center as a base and first point before entering the Great Kemeri Bog. The architecture aims to clearly convey the message of entering a unique natural environment, where all attention is drawn to its beauty. The visitor center becomes an introduction and reference to the wonder of the Kemeri Bog. The bog is like a vessel, the beginning and future life of the world. This is revealed through the metaphor of a basin or womb. The architectural cavity, filled with lush greenery, embodies the idea of the bog. Of course, everything sways in the bog... so the vessel is tilted. The visitor center itself, with its newly designed architecture, perceives nature as a kind of gateway leading towards the Great Kemeri Bog. The cavity's roof acts as a field of cognition, like a children's playground or simply a place for experiencing form and content. The architectural vessel becomes a determining factor in shaping both the exterior and interior spaces. Inside the building, a mysterious presence is evoked, as if you were a fairy-tale observer, seeing the world from the depths. The perimeter-lit roof, which is more natural than an architectural expression, is visible when approaching from the east. From the west, the inner volume is visible, created by the vessel's tilt and fully perceived architecturally. The decision to make the building visible and invisible, existing and non-existent, especially at night, creates a somewhat mystical feeling... much like the bog itself. Amorphous elements dominate in the combinations of forms, harmonized with precise circular lines. As the visitor center is constructed, a natural meadow is installed on its roof, receiving sunlight. The action takes place in a circle, with soft, flexible forms ensuring ideal ergonomics and freedom of movement. The main finishing materials include naturally gray wooden planks for the ceilings, painted plaster for the walls, and light gray, almost white polyurethane floors and white furniture. The reception and bar create an image of translucent reddish amber.
